Blurb About the program:
The Escambia High School Culinary Academy offers students a hands-on, industry-driven education in the fundamentals of culinary arts and hospitality. Through our program, students gain real-world experience in a professional kitchen while developing essential skills in food preparation, safety, and service. Our curriculum is aligned with ProStart, a nationally recognized program that prepares students for careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Students have the opportunity to earn industry certifications, including ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Manager, and the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) certification. Additionally, our students showcase their talents in the annual ProStart Culinary Competition, where they compete against top culinary programs from across the state. Whether pursuing a career in the culinary field or furthering their education, our program equips students with the knowledge and skills for success.
