This is the landing page for the Escambia High School Library. I'm so glad you're here! Take a minute to look around and see if there's anything that catches your interest. There are important links directly to your right and other topics of interest to your left. 

Black History is a rich topic deeply woven into the fabric of American History. It's so important to recognize and remember what has brought us to today.

This is only a small sample of the books that we have that detail Black History. Please stop by the library to see what we have available. As always, if you don't see what you're looking for, please ask! If it's here, I'll find it. 

The library has several new books ready to check out in the new year, come see what we have to offer. Here are just a few of the newest titles to hit the shelves.

Are you in your fantasy era? We certainly are! Fantasy books are more popular than ever and EHS has a great selection. As always, please ask if you don't see the book you're looking for, we're happy to help! 

Are you looking for a new hobby or skill to try in 2025? The EHS Library has books on display that feature a variety of different things for you to try! If you don't see what you're looking for, please ask!

In honor of Veterans Day, this month the EHS Library is featuring books that focus on military service and family life.

Additionally, we are also honoring mental health with a display of both fiction and nonfiction books that focus on many different aspects of mental health. It's important to realize that mental health is both mental illnesses and things like grief, being a long-term carer for a family member, or exposure to trauma. Please come check out our display or ask for a recommendation from the librarian. 

The Escambia HS Library will hold a Library Advisory Council meeting on November 1, 2024 at 7:40 am. The meeting is open to the public.

The following books will be considered for addition to the collection. If you have any questions or concerns and cannot attend the meeting, please send all inquires or feedback to Mrs. Eisele by the end of the day on November 1.

Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year!

I already have new books ready for you to browse, stop by with a pass to see what's available! If you don't see what you're looking for, please stop at the front desk and ask. I love book purchase requests. 

Here are some back to school themed reads you might enjoy. All of these are on display in the front corner of the library. 

Come see what's brand new and available for you to borrow.

If you don't see what you're looking for, please ask so I can help you find it. If the item you want is checked out, you can put a hold on it and the library will let you know when it returns and you can borrow it. 

If we don't have the book you want, please leave a request. I always consider requests first when placing book orders. You can leave a request in person, or through a Google Form.

This month we are celebrating Women's History Month with a March Madness Bracket featuring some awesome female inventors. 

You can find the official bracket in the lobby. 

Here is a presentation that gives you some information about each of these women.

Each new bracket will be announced every Monday and voting for the current week's bracket ends at 3:10 PM every Friday. 

There will be a Library Advisory Council meeting on February 20, 2024. This meeting will be in the library and will be open to the public.
